NILE Champions

Who are NILE champions? 

NILE champions are volunteers within partner organisations who have an interest in learning technology and who are able to provide support for NILE tools and teaching and learning. 

Anyone in your organisation could become a NILE Champion.

Why become a NILE champion? 

The University of Northampton will provide additional training, access to teaching and learning materials, and regular networking meetings. You will be there to support your institution’s NILE related queries and improve the experiences for staff and students! 

Benefits include: 

  • Access to regular NILE training sessions;
  • Contact with UoN Learning Technologists;
  • Build a better relationship with UoN and other partners;
  • Improve engagement with learning, teaching and technology in your institution.

What will I need to do? 

NILE champions do not need to know the ins and outs of all of our NILE tools, but will have a willingness to learn and you will have access to UoN Learning Technologists. 

As a NILE Champion you will need to enrol on to our NILE training courses; Basics and Assessments.

This free training resource will be used to further support your development but can be used when you assist colleagues. 

Once you are a NILE champion you will be able to demonstrate you can:

  • Develop digital literacy;
  • Learn advanced skills in a range of leading educational platforms;
  • Help other staff by sharing resource materials;
  • Facilitate peer training;
  • Advocate new technologies.
