Physiotherapy Subject Guide

An Academic Librarian guide for students

What happens if the Library at the University of Northampton doesn't stock the resource you need either in print or electronic format?

Don't worry, there are other options you can use to obtain the information you need for your assignments, research or dissertations.

There are 3 ways of finding and obtaining information beyond the Library:

  • Using the Interlibrary Loan Service
  • Using other Library Catalogues
  • SCONUL Access Scheme.

Interlibrary Loans

If you are unable to find what you want in our print stock or via NELSON, you can apply to our free Interlibrary Loan Service to source the material for you.

We are able to supply:

  • Books
  • Chapters
  • Journal Articles
  • Conference Reports.

We have a guide on requesting an Interlibrary Loan.

SCONUL access scheme

SCONUL Access is a scheme which allows many university library users to borrow or use books and journals at other libraries which belong to the scheme.

You may also find this scheme helpful if you’d like to have access to another higher education library during your summer vacation.

Your Academic Librarian is also happy to help.
