Associate Membership costs £50 a year and is available if you’re over 18 years of age and are not in full time education. It allows access to the upper floors of the Learning Hub and you may borrow five ’28 day’ loans at a time. Completing your application will include uploading:
Photographs and documents submitted will be deleted upon collection of your access card.

Please note: Applications can take up to 4 weeks to process. Membership does not include access to printers, photocopiers, laptops, PCs or electronic resources, nor does it allow books or rooms to be reserved. Members must wear the lanyard provided whilst on campus and are responsible for loss of, or damage to, books and other University property. Visitors (including under 18s) may not accompany members beyond the ground floor of the Learning Hub. Please be respectful of the staff and students who are teaching and studying on campus.

This membership is available if you have to complete a piece of work as part of your application to study at The University of Northampton, and will need a member of staff from within the relevant Faculty to act as a guarantor. It allows you to borrow up to five ‘4 week’ loans (not including DVDs or items from the School Experience Collection) at a time. It does not allow you to reserve books or rooms or to access printers, photocopiers, laptops, PCs or e-resources.

SCONUL Access is a reciprocal scheme which allows many university library users to access books, journals and study space at other libraries which belong to the scheme. You are only able to apply for SCONUL Access if you are a student or staff member at a participating institution. We have more information available if this applies to your circumstances.
