The Health and Safety Team are here to offer support, advice and guidance on all Health and Safety (H&S) related matters. This can be anything from how do I get a voucher for an eye test to questions regarding legal compliance. We can offer guidance of a variety of different risk assessments and will help to educate you to improve your knowledge and awareness of H&S.

Ian joined the University in March 2021 to lead on the Health and Safety, and business continuity areas.
Ian's health and safety experience includes managing programmes in the healthcare, media, transport and industrial sectors. He is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) and a Fellow of the Institute of Risk Management.
Originally from the North Wales Coast, Ian's interests include sports particularly rugby union and league, and is a regular, (if slow), runner.

Di started working in the University in December 2022 and has worked in Health and Safety since 2007.
She has a wealth of experience to include warehousing and logistics, healthcare, manufacturing, facilities maintenance, laboratory, and has worked in consultancy. Di is currently studying for her NEBOSH Diploma via the NVQ route.
In her spare time loves to walk her dog and is a singer in a gothic rock band.

Christy started working in the University in January 2023 and has worked in Health and Safety since 2007.
Christy's background is mainly in Logistics and she has a vast amount of experience in warehousing and transport safety.
Christy completed her NEBOSH certificate in 2007, followed by her Diploma. She is also a Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH).
Christy is originally from Worcester and moved to Northampton in the year 2000.
She has a 16 year old daughter.
