How do we assess the risks?

Before any work at the University has commenced, both the Contract Administrator and the contractor need to think about the planned work, and consider:

  • what can harm people?
  • who may be harmed and how?
  • how you will control the risks?

The contractor must assess their risks for the contracted work, and the University must share its own relevant safety information with the contractor, to consider any risks from each other’s work that could affect the health and safety of the contractor, staff, students or anyone else.
