Who is the Site Contact?

Any person who will liaise directly with the contractors whilst they are undertaking works on behalf of the University.

What are the Site Contact's responsibilities?

Will liaise directly with contractors on their arrival to ensure they are signed in, there is appropriate access given to the area or location of the activity, and that all the necessary safety information has been provided to the contractor, including a suitable induction.

The site Contact must also ensure that contractors are sign off before their departure from the site when the works are completed. The Site Contact will ordinarily be a member of Estates and Campus Services or 1st Degree Facilities but may be any person who is able to function as Site Contact and arrangements are made in advance by the Contract Administrator.
