Description of the issue: Depite following the grades transfer instructions correctly, one or more grades that were sent from NILE are missing in SITS. On investigation the missing grades belong to students who have transferred courses.
Status: Ongoing
Notes: While NILE sends the grades for all students to SITS, SITS is currently unable to process the grades for students who have transferred courses. To determine whether a student has transferred between courses, access the SRS Staff Portal and look up the student. At the top of the 'Basic Student Course Details' section of the page you can see the student's 'Course join code'. If their Course join code ends /2, /3, etc., then they are classed as a transfer student. If their 'Course join code' ends /1 then they are not a transfer student.
Interim resolution/workaround: Where this is happening, please contact your Student Records Team for advice.
Description of the issue: Depite following the grades transfer instructions correctly, one or more grades that were sent from NILE are missing in SITS. On investigation the missing grades in SITS belong to students whose enrolments onto the main (i.e., parent) NILE course come from a child course merge. E.g., the main/parent NILE course is PHI1001-SUN-2425-S1 and students with missing grades in SITS are enrolled on PHI1001-AUN-2425-S1, which is merged into PHI1001-SUN-2425-S1.
Status: Ongoing
Notes: To see whether your NILE course has any child courses merged into it, see our FAQ: 'How can I view information about course merges in my NILE course?'. Please note that this issue will not be resolved during the 24/25 academic year, but may be resolved for the 25/26 academic year via alterations to the curriculum system.
Interim resolution/workaround: Please complete the new NILE>SITS grades transfer process as normal, mapping and sending your grades to SITS, as this will transfer the grades for most students to SITS. Following this, please download the gradebook report for the assessment and email this to your Student Records Team so that they can input the grades for the students on the merged child course(s). The gradebook report will list which students are enrolled via merged courses, so you will not need to include this information separately.
Description of the issue: When sending grades from NILE to SITS for large cohorts, NILE does not send all the grades to SITS.
Status: Resolved
Notes: This problem was resolved at 14:00 on 19 December 2024. Any grades sent after this time should be sent correctly, regardless of the cohort size.
Advice for staff who were affected by this issue: If grades are missing for an assessment that was sent from NILE to SITS before 14:00 on 19 December 2024, it is recommeded to resend the grades. This will not affect any grades already in SITS, but will simply add in the missing grades.
