Go to the Zotero website.
Register by entering a username, then email and password.
Email to activate – verify. [Instructions given]
Find Zotero on your computer - login and click Download.
Select Zotero 7 Download for Windows or the Zotero Connector if you are using Microsoft MS Edge. Note: If you are not automatically directed here, go to the Tools menu within Zotero and select Install Browser Connector.
Once downloaded, click on Open file at the top of the screen (this will also be in your Downloads folder).
You may be asked if you want to 'allow this app to make changes to your device?'
Choose Yes. Login if needed (this will be your University Login if using a University device).
The Zotero Setup Wizard will open.
Select Next.
Choose the 'Standard' option.
Click Install, then Finish.
Go back to app to start the software and view the guide.
Install the Connector for Chrome (if using this Browser).
Click the Add to Chrome button.
Click Add extension.
Check your extension window (jigsaw piece icon at the top right of your screen) to make sure the Zotero Connector available.
