This guide introduces the Zotero referencing management tool and how it can be used to help with OSCOLA referencing. It begins with a tutorial to introduce OSCOLA, which you will still want to familiarise yourself with.
The tutorial below takes you through the basics of OSCOLA referencing. For optimal viewing, it is recommended that you open this in full screen.
To work through the tutorial, use the arrows at the bottom right of the screen to progress through the tutorial.
The following video shows how to use Zotero with the OSCOLA style output. Note: While Zotero is helpful when referencing books and journals, no referencing management tool is compatible with legal databases, such as Westlaw and Lexis.
To use Zotero, begin by setting up your browser following the instructions in the Setting up Zotero guide.
The following video shows you how to use Zotero.
Before you use Zotero, it is worth familiarising yourself with OSCOLA. You will still need to follow a guide to reference materials from Westlaw and Lexis. We suggest using the Cite Them Right guide for OSCOLA.
If you need any further help with OSCOLA referencing, make an appointment with an Academic Librarian.
