Support for students with disabilities and/or additional needs

We appreciate that some students may find using library services overwhelming, particularly if they have a disability, medical condition, specific learning difference, or are experiencing mental health issues. Our staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. Their primary aim is to enable, support and enhance your use of the library and our range of resources, facilities and services so please ask if you need any help.

We’ve worked with neurodivergent students to create A Library Guide for Neurodivergent Students. If you would prefer a paper copy of this guide please ask at the Library Help Desk, located on the second floor of the Learning Hub, during staffed hours or email libraryhelp@northampton.ac.uk

The library aims to purchase content that is accessible to all our users, as outlined in our Accessibility Statement. If you have a print disability and are having problems accessing text or video resources on your reading list, please get in touch to find out more about what we can offer you through the Alternative Formats Service.
