Interlibrary Loan: Interlibrary Loans

Interlibrary Loans

The Interlibrary Loan service can source items for you if they are not available from our own print or digital stock.

** Please note **

Due to COVID-19, interlibrary loans are running a reduced service, but we can still currently obtain some journal articles and book chapters digitally. For entire book requests, users can contact and we will look to see if we can purchase the content as an e-book. Please be aware that staff availability may be reduced and therefore, we may take longer in responding to you than normal.

What is the Interlibrary Loan service?

If you are unable to find what you want in our print stock or via NELSON, you can apply to our Interlibrary Loan Service to source the material for you.

We are currently able to supply

  • Chapters
  • Journal Articles
  • Conference Reports

This service is available to all University of Northampton students, staff and researchers.

Our Interlibrary Loan service sources items from the British Library, health libraries, academic libraries within the UK and abroad and private libraries. Our advice is to allow plenty of time for your request to be fulfilled and we will make every effort to ensure you receive your items as soon as possible.
