Law Subject Guide: NELSON

Guide to library resources for Law

NELSON is a broad search tool that searches across multiple databases. You can use the traditional keyword search box or enter prompts in the AI Research Assistant.

What is the difference between searching NELSON and the Library databases?

NELSON and the Research Assistant offer a good starting point for most research, searching across many of the Library resources in one place. Sometimes the results may be too broad and you may want to search specific databases to focus your topic, particularly if you are studying a higher degree or are researching a dissertation.

Some databases, including MarketLine, Mintel, Statista, Lexis and WestLawcan only be searched or are more effective when searched directly.
