How to Make a Request

New requests

Before submitting a request, please check the item is not already available at UON by searching NELSON. If a print book is in library stock, but out on loan, use the option to ‘Hold’ the book. This will reserve it for you, and you will be notified when it is returned to the library.

Articles and book chapters

As well as trying to obtain articles and book chapters that are not in library stock, we will also Scan and Deliver articles (one article per issue) and book chapters (one chapter per book) from journals and books that are only held in print in library stock. Before submitting a request, please check the item is not already available electronically at UON by searching NELSON.

Please note all requests should be for academic material that relates to your field of study or research.

Submit your request via the online Request Form.
