Everyone needs help with their studies from time to time. The library can help you with a range of support, visit our study support pages for more information.
Tutorials can help you to improve your work and your grades
A wide range of academic skills advice and guidance is available on the Skills Hub, including tips on taking notes and managing your time effectively
Tailored support is available to those who need it through LLS Support
Helpful subject guides are available, giving you starting points
There are lots of study spaces throughout the Learning Hub, each floor has lots of different types of seats and spaces for you to use. You can use any of these spaces, whichever you prefer. There is also a silent study area on the fourth floor if you would like to study quietly.
You can search for books using NELSON
Physical books are on the bookshelves in the Learning Hub
Your student ID card is also your library card, so you can borrow library books from the Learning Hub using the self-service machines (scan your card and put the books onto the shelf inside)
When you have finished with your books you can return them at the Returns Point on the ground floor of the Learning Hub.
Laptops are available from the laptop cabinets in the Learning Hub, located on each floor that has library books.
We have online instructions for borrowing and for returning a laptop.
