The Inter-Library Loan (ILL) service aims to provide you with books, book chapters and articles that are not available in the University of Northampton’s library collection, to support you in your academic studies or research.
Items supplied by the ILL service are subject to copyright restrictions. These requests must be for academic material that relates to your field of study or research, and must be for private study or non-commercial research. The ILL team requests these items from other libraries or in some instances, purchase them for library stock.
If you are unable to find what you need in our print stock or via NELSON, you can apply to our ILL service to source the material for you.
Please note, the following items should not be requested via ILL.
- Physical items that are held in library stock, but are out on loan. These can be reserved by going to the Get It section of the item on NELSON and clicking on Reserve.
- Book chapters and articles held in print library stock. These can be requested using the Scan and Deliver service.
