The library sources OCR (Optical Character Recognition) ready scans or edits in-house scans to improve accessibility of materials to all students.
All scans are hosted on the Copyright Licensing Agency's (CLA) Digital Content Store (DCS), to enable automatic end of year reporting on usage to the CLA.
Once the digitisation request is completed, a link is generated in the DCS which is added directly to the citation on your module's online reading list for students to access. When clicking 'View Online' the digitised extract will open in a Kortext reader, with a copyright notice displayed on the first page.
