Adding items to your Reading List

Requesting Books

Before requesting books for purchasing, search NELSON to check availability.

If the book is not available, add it to your reading list via Amazon or a publisher website using the CiteIt! tool.

Requesting via Amazon. Check the information in the pop up window and ensure that list is selected. Use the drop down menu to select the correct module list before clicking Add & Close.

You will be prompted to select an appropriate tag for your item. This will ensure sufficient copies are purchased.

Amazon tags. Select either essential, recommended or wider reading

The item will appear in your reading list indicating that it is not in stock.

Once your list is published, it will be sent for review and the Reading List team will ensure that sufficient copies are purchased.

Digitisation requests

The library’s Digitisation Team can create legal digital copies of resource extracts. If you wish to obtain a digitised book chapter, article or printed music for inclusion on your reading list, submit a Digitisation request form.
