Library Support for Academic Staff

A guide to outline the core services provided by the Academic Librarian Team at the University of Northampton

The Library provides access to a wealth of print and digital resources for modules taught across the University. These resources are continually reviewed and replenished.

You're automatically a member of the University library. Your Staff ID card is also your library card. This means that you can come into the Learning Hub and browse and borrow books from our collection. It also means that you can use the ebooks and ejournals on NELSON.

NELSON (Northampton Electronic Search ONline)

NELSON is the University's discovery tool and is the place to start looking for resources.

Use the ‘Subject’ filter at the top of the page to find databases relevant to your area of study. Check out our ‘Best bets!’ for key databases to kickstart your research.

We have created subject guides to help you explore the resources.
