Information about the inter-library loan service

What can I request?

All requests should be for academic material that relates to your field of study or research. These requests must be for the purposes of private study or non-commercial research.

Requests can be made for: 

  • books 

  • book chapters (one chapter per book to comply with copyright law) 

  • journal articles (one article per issue to comply with copyright law) 

  • conference proceedings, reports, standards and similar material. Please note this type of material may be more challenging to source. 

If you require a UK PhD theses, you can request these directly via the British Library's EThOS (Electronic Theses Online) service. (Please note this service is currently unavailable due to the cyber-attack on the British Library.)

We cannot supply media such as CDs or DVDs.
