Blackboard Ally is a product which integrates into the NILE platform to enable module tutors to make their digital content more accessible. Blackboard Ally provides students with the choice and flexibility to access online content in a format which suits them. Blackboard Ally is easy to use, it is available in every module site and provides module tutors with quick fixes, inline guidance on how to make content more accessible and a full report on the overall accessibility of a module.
The Ally tool provides simple introductions on how it can support more accessible content, so we would encourage staff to explore its features, as well as seek support and advice from the Learning Technology team.
Blackboard Ally also provides Instructors with module-level accessibility reports which provide an overview of the module as well as the ability to drill down into specific content items.
